Today on the 10th of August, me and my family went out for a trek on the Baner hill in Pune at 7 in the morning. 2000ft was the highest altitude we had reached and we could see almost the whole of Pune from there with the bordering Sahyadri hills too... The early part of the trek was a bit dangerous with comparatively tall rocks but later it was only uphill. During the whole trek, we visited two temples - one while going up and the other while coming down, planted one plant and of course went to the maximum altitude of the hill. One temple was closed so we just saw the view from there but the other one - Shiv Mandir believed to be built by the Pandavas was partially underground. We visited that temple and came back home by 10. A slow trek being the first, it was a good exercise for my body.
